it's the most wonderful time of the year?

Like many people, I look forward to summer, but this year I am NOT looking forward to purchasing a swim suit!

Lucky for me, I've been into one piece swimsuits for a few years...my fashion sensibility is chic above all, and I think the vast majority of bikinis are just plain tartish!

However, it is hard to find cool one-pieces. Last year, I rocked the marilyn-style bathing suit look, but I think it would look kind of bad on me now that I am a bit of a cow.

So, I am browsing bathing suits, trying to find one that is cool but won't look terrible on my sucky bod!

I think I have found one--I think it's sexy and modern and a little bit unique. It reminds me of the French Riviera. Perhaps not as chic as it could be, but I think extra pounds + a really classic suit=frumpy mcfrumpster!

Check it out:

'Tis cute, right?

It's also available in red and black, but I think the navy and black is more my vibe.

We shall see, I'm still looking around! If anyone has any suggestions, please do share!

shoe lust

I am REALLY lusting these shoes, but I think $178.00 is a little out of my price range! BUT I have to say that I wouldn't think it too pricey for BOOTS, so perhaps I shall purchase these as a reward for myself when I lose some weight.

Aren't they just awesome?!

elizabeth + james shoes

I saw this a while ago, it's a photo of Mary-Kate Olsen debuting a piece from their upcoming shoe line (which was supposed to be in stores this summer.)

I'm kind of intrigued by this because I love the pieces from their clothing line BUT they're mostly more than I'm willing to spend on cotton shorts and tops.

However, I tend to spend more on shoes for various reasons, so I'm interested to see what they have to offer in this realm.

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the shoes in the picture...I sort of feel like I'd like to see a few more angles. In general though, they do appear to be pretty 'avant-garde' and cool--plus, who amongst us isn't a fan of wedges?

What do you think of MK's shoes?

deal of the day

Since I loveeeeee fashion, I'm going to put awesome deals I find on here from time to time.

Today, I'm loving the Juicy Couture "The Beau" Watch. It is $136.50, down from $195.00 on shopbop.com. The only obvious problem would be the rhinestones, which are très déclassé, but also quite prevalent with juicy stuff! (Dear juicy, please chill out with the tacky details!) However I don't think they're too noticeable so I can get over them.

It reminds me of the Chanel J12 that came out a few years ago and that I'm STILL in love with! However, I don't really have the funds to be dropping a few thousand dollars on a watch right now, so this JC watch is pretty sweet too.

Check it out!
